The old is dying
the new cannot be born
In the transition period where light and darkness meet
morbid symptoms abound

失憶 Loss of memories
失明 Loss of sight
失聰 Loss of hearing
失心 Loss of feelings
失性 Loss of thoughts
失覺 Loss of sensations

毒氣
沖昏了頭腦
燒灼了皮喉
漂白了樓房
吞噬了喧囂
Poison gas
dizzied the brain
scorched the skin and throat
drained the buildings of their colours
silenced the streets of their clamour

耳畔
只聽到無間斷的
噼啪滋噝
In my ear
I hear only
crackles and sizzles

眼角
只見安全島的
黃藍閃爍搖曳
與高樓燈柱相辅相成
鎖住寒煙
At the corner of my eye
I see only the refuge island
its yellow and blue lights flicker
Hugged by its surrounding architecture
they lock down the cool smoke

站在煙霧瀰漫的十字路裡
見證著這個城市的
消失
In the middle of a smoke filled junction, I stand
witnessing the city
disappearing

不死鳥築巢自焚
在烈火中
把過去淬煉
為未來留下烙印
Phoenix builds its own nest
for immolation
In the blazing fire
the past is refined
leaving a brand for the future

在沒有神話的年代裡
不死鳥只想做一隻鳥
祈求死後沒有重生
祈求灰燼在城市
的樓與樓
之間飄灑紛揚
永不超生
In an era without mythologies
Phoenix only wants to be a bird
It wishes no rebirth after death
it wishes its ashes scattered in the city
it wishes never to be reincarnated

不死鳥在烈火中
咒怨哀曲
遺言隨火白日飛升
在蒙籠灰暗的空中
刻上墓志銘
In blazing fire, Phoenix chants
Its incantation rises
engraving its epitaph
up in the grey veiled sky
